Peace Lutheran Primary School has officially marked the beginning of construction on its new Prep and Year 1 learning precinct, celebrating a significant milestone in the school’s continued growth and commitment to the future of education in the Lockyer Valley.

The Turning of the Sod Ceremony brought together students, staff, families and community members to celebrate the commencement of a project that will provide contemporary learning environments for the school’s youngest students.

This new precinct represents an investment in both current and future generations of learners, representing far more than just buildings. They are an investment in creating environments where children can flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

The purpose-built facilities will provide modern, connected learning environments designed to support high-quality teaching and learning while fostering student wellbeing and engagement.

The project reflects the continued growth of Peace Lutheran Primary School and the increasing demand for quality education within the region. It forms an important part of the school’s long-term vision to ensure its facilities continue to meet the needs of contemporary education and support students as they begin their learning journey.

The new precinct will create opportunities for young learners to build strong foundations for future success, develop meaningful relationships, discover their gifts and grow in confidence and faith.

The new Prep and Year 1 facilities are expected to open in readiness for the new school year in 2027.
