Welcome to Peace Lutheran Primary School!
Welcome to Peace Lutheran Primary School, a congregational school that has been serving the Lockyer Valley for over 40 years. Established by Peace Lutheran Church, the school was built with the mission of providing a high-quality Christian education for children in the congregation and the wider community.
Today, we continue to uphold our commitment to providing excellent education in modern facilities that foster meaningful and real-life learning experiences. Our dedicated and compassionate staff, who are highly trained, ensure that each student is recognised and valued for their unique God given talents. We plan for the success and growth of each individual student based on their learning styles and preferences, allowing them to strive for and achieve success.
Our timetable places a priority on English and Mathematics, with intervention programs available to support students requiring additional learning assistance in these areas. Students also have the opportunity to engage in various extra-curricular and specialist lessons, including dedicated time for The Arts and HPE curriculum in all year levels and learning Auslan as a language in Year 4, 5 and 6.
To equip students with the essential skills for life-long learning, and to foster their role as active and well-informed citizens, we have incorporated Project Based Learning into our curriculum. Technology is integrated in all subjects to enhance students learning and develop the skills and abilities students need to be ethical users of technology in the future.
As a school affiliated with the Lutheran Church of Australia (LEA), Peace uses the Christian Studies Curriculum Framework developed by LEA as the basis for education in this particular area. Students actively participate in regular devotions, Worship services and Christian Studies lessons as they learn about God and His love for them as seen through the gift of His Son, Jesus.
All of this is achieved within a nurturing Christian environment, where our school values of Learning, Courage, Compassion and Relationships serve as the foundation for everything we do.
At Peace, we set high expectations for students. When challenges arise, as they inevitably do, our approach is restorative, seeking to mend relationships and create plans to prevent similar issues in the future.
If you have yet to explore our school, I encourage you to reach out to me or our Administration Team. We would be delighted to share more of our story with you and showcase our wonderful school.
